FIVE THINGS WE BELIEVE

The schema is the system

Every architectural decision worth making is downstream of the data model. We design schemas with the rigor of someone who has lived with bad ones.

Observability is not optional

A system without logs, metrics, and traces is a system you cannot operate. Day-one observability is a requirement, not an enhancement.

Boring technology compounds

PostgreSQL, Express, React, Cloudflare. We choose proven over fashionable because the work compounds when the foundation does not surprise us.

Security is engineering

RBAC, audit logs, rate limiting, content security policy, encrypted backups. Treated as part of the system, not as a checklist before launch.

The team that maintains is the team that builds

We build software we ourselves will maintain. The discipline of knowing every line returns through code review traces directly to the quality of the schema.
